Eucerin DERMOPURE Skin Renewal Treatment

The innovative Eucerin DERMOPURE Skin Renewal Treatment has been specially formulated to reduce the appearance of pimples, papules and pustules as well as to fade acne marks. 

It is suitable for all mild to moderate forms of acne and has a triple effect:

* In a Product in Use (PIU) study 40 men and women (aged 12-44) with acne-prone skin used the product once a day (in the evening) for eight weeks. Results were assessed after one, two, four and eight weeks of use. The before and after images show the visible results after eight weeks of use.

• Use once a day. Preferably in the evening.
• Apply a small amount (about the size of a pea) to a thoroughly cleansed face
• Massage gently into skin
• Follow with an appropriate care product such as Eucerin DERMOPURE Mattifying Fluid
• Avoid contact with your eyes

This product contains Alpha Hydroxy Acids that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and the possibility of sunburn. Eucerin DERMOPURE Skin Renewal Treatment contains a unique and innovative 10% Hydroxy Complex. This complex is rich in effective but gentle, tried and tested, peeling agents.

These peeling agents are Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs) and Polyhydroxy Acids (PHAs):

• AHAs are commonly present in fruits and so are often referred to as fruit acids. The AHA we use is Glycolic Acid which is the most commonly used in skincare products and by dermatologists.
• The BHA in our formula is Salicylic Acid. It has been used to treat skin for more than 2,000 years and, as well as being an effective peeling agent, it is proven to help reduce blemishes and pimples and prevent new blemishes from appearing. This makes it particularly appropriate for blemish- and acne-prone skin.
• In nature, many PHAs are by-products of the process of carbohydrate metabolism in the body. This is true of the PHA we use in our formula - Gluconolactone. It is widely used, and we have chosen it because it is both effective as a peeling agent and gentle on skin. 

These effective acids work together to reduce the cohesion between dead skin cells, thereby exfoliating (or removing) them from skin’s surface (a process known as desquamation) and accelerating the natural process of epidermal and dermal renewal resulting in resurfaced skin. 

The 10% Hydroxy Complex also works to unclog pores and significantly reduce P. acnes (the bacteria on skin’s surface which colonises the plugged pore and causes the inflammation that leads to papules, pustules, nodules and cysts).

The Complex is complemented by the Licochalcone A also present in the Eucerin DERMOPURE Skin Renewal Treatment formula. Licochalcone A reduces inflammation and soothes irritation ensuring the product is effective and gentle on skin.
